Ben, will panel bond hold plastic together? For example, A mounting tab broken off a headlight assembly.

Got a feeling they use a special carbon for when it is exposed, one that has a neater looking pattern.

Order the windshield bond from mclaren, search the later numbers for it. Early common bond was shite/wrong and windshields cracked out of nowhere because of it.

When scribing cut off lines from a pattern use a sharp steel point not a felt tip pen - it's more accurate = less filing to fit.

19:01 should have put a layer of fiber glass in that epoxy (I like to use dry wall fiber glass joint tape for such things)... just gluing edges together is not very strong. And/OR spun welded that joint. Hopefully it holds as is ... certainly repairable latter on if necessary.

You could not repair a carbon structure like that! The cutting is wrong, the gluing is also wrong! You cut, match and glue so simply, but the final structure is weaker than the original piece! You must taught basic rules, such as carbon orientation, epoxy, vacuum, reinforcement, temperature treatment etc. You are discrediting your work!

5.10 I doubt you’ll be building it exactly the same as the factory but carry on, it’s interesting.

This is going to be interesting. If that's all the damage to the replacement tub (I hope it is) things should start moving along nicely now. Maybe just me but vTuned seems to have changed gear a bit with this one. There seems to be more care and attention to detail here. The repair on that piece today was done very carefully/precisely - maybe moreso than usual.👌 All the safety gear went on too, 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦, making things look more professional too. 👍 Nice to see some of the big name channels in the comments too, showing a bit of support. The only down-side I'm seeing on this video is all the sniping/bad feeling in the comments. At least, most of the time, they're just slagging each other - grow up people.

I think the reason why you have to pay extra 5k is that the carbon layers needs to be perfect when it's exposed. When its painted it doesn't matter what it looks like beneath the paint. So, please keep that in mind before you remove the paint.

It was nice to see you using a dust mask and glasses later in the video. Glasses are better than safety squints. You performed a superb repair there too. I noticed there was a small crack still in the tub itself at the joint. Did you drill it at the end to stress relieve it before you finalized it all? If you did not stress relieve the end of the crack, it is likely to spread over time.
